This little brass block puts just the right amount of pressure on the worm sleeve to eliminate any slop in the Z-axis feed. I had to adjust the set screw a couple times to get it perfect, but now the mill runs smooth and consistent.

The set screw holds firmly once tightened, no slipping at all during use. I was worried about alignment but it seated perfectly against the worm sleeve. Makes the fine feed adjustments much more precise on my mill.

Installed this on my SX2.7 last weekend — that flat point set screw holds the block firmly against the worm sleeve. Zero detectable play in the fine feed now, and it took maybe ten minutes to adjust.
