Collet Set, 5C, Set of 6

Took the 5C collets out of the case and the fit on my lathe spindle was snug and true right away, no wobble at speed. The range from 1/8" to 3/4" by eighths covers most of what I machine on a daily basis, and the finish on the gripping surface feels quality. Just wish the case had a latch instead of

I needed a 1/2" collet for a recent project, and this set had it right in the box along with the others I didn't realize I'd need. The steel feels solid and the threads are cleanly cut—no binding when I tightened it down.

The 3/8" collet gripped my 5C fixture perfectly with no runout I could measure. I wish it came in 32nds as well, but these eighths cover my most-used sizes nicely.
