I swapped my old cross slide screw for this longer one and the difference in travel is immediately noticeable—it’s making wider cuts without having to reposition the whole carriage. The threads are clean and engaged smoothly right from the start, which saved me some frustration during installation.

Took a little while to thread in the first turn, but once it seated, the travel extension is exactly what I needed for deeper cuts. The extra length on this screw makes a real difference on the lathe. Glad I grabbed it to complete the kit.

Installed this screw on my lathe last weekend and the extra 1.5 inches of cross slide travel makes a real difference for facing wider parts. The threads are cut clean and the fit into the mating nut was smooth right out of the box. Glad I finally upgraded.
