Machined the oversize casting down to 2" and it took the finish clean, no porosity or hard spots in the bronze. The 5 straight spokes keep it looking sharp on the model engine. Hub length gave me plenty of material to bore.

Spun true right out of the box on my lathe, and the 5 straight spokes balanced nicely once I turned the rim down. The 0.537" rim width left me enough meat to hit my final diameter without any chatter.

The oversize casting gave me plenty of material to turn it down to the exact diameter I needed, and the bronze finish machined cleanly with no hard spots. Hub length was spot on, so it fit my shaft without any shimming. Nice piece for the price.
