Finally got around to swapping out the worn half nuts on my mini lathe, and these seat together with a satisfying snugness that makes the lead screw engagement feel rock solid. Threading on both sides is a nice touch, and the inch thread match was spot on for my machine.

The two half nuts seat together perfectly, and both sides being threaded makes engagement with the inch lead screw feel smooth and reliable. I’ve already swapped them onto my lathe and the carriage moves without any skipping, exactly what I needed.

The threads on both half nuts are cut clean and engage smoothly with the lead screw on my mini lathe. The two-piece design made installation straightforward, and the fit on the inch lead screw is precise with no wobble.
