Insert, APGT1135PDFR-G2 Carbide, Tormach

Switched to these APMT1135 inserts for some tough steel jobs and the PVD coating really seems to reduce edge buildup. They hold a sharp edge longer than the cheaper ones I was using, which saves me from changing tools mid-cut.

The HD30 carbide grade on these inserts handles steel milling beautifully, holding its edge much longer than standard inserts I've tried. The PVD coating seems to reduce built-up edge on tougher cuts, making finish pass cleanup easier than expected.

The APMT geometry on these inserts gives a noticeably cleaner finish on my steel parts compared to the older style I was using, and they’re lasting through several roughing passes without chipping.
