Swapped out the old SC4 tailstock shaft with this one and the fit was spot-on; the threads meshed smoothly without any binding. It's machined cleanly and works exactly as the original did.

Fits the SC4 lathe exactly as the parts diagram shows, and the machining is clean with no burrs on the threads. Installed in under ten minutes and the tailstock locks up solid now, so I’m glad I didn’t try to jury-rig the old one.
