Mini Lathe Headstock Assembly, SIEG C3

The casting is much heavier duty than I expected, and the spindle fit perfectly onto my existing bed rails without any modifications. I was up and running in about twenty minutes.

After swapping in my old spindle bearing for one of these, the whole assembly spins true with zero wobble at the highest speed setting. The casting is clean and the spindle bore lined up perfectly with my tailstock, which made setup far less frustrating than I expected.

Bolted it in last night and the spindle spins smooth as butter right out of the box. The casting fits perfectly into my mini lathe bed, no filing or adjustment needed.
