Replaced the original plastic gear on my lathe with this steel one, and the difference in rigidity is immediate. The 20 teeth mesh cleanly with the other gears, and the metal construction handles the load without any wobble.

Installed this on my lathe and the steel feels solid, much tougher than the old plastic gear it replaced. Machining tolerances are tight—no wobble at all when spinning at higher speeds.

The teeth mesh perfectly with the change gears on my lathe, and the steel feels solid enough to handle regular use without any flex. It dropped right in as a direct replacement and the machining is clean all around the hub.
