Rule, Steel, 12" 4R Flexible

The 4R graduations are perfect for my machining setup, switching between 32nds and 64ths on the fly. It’s rigid enough to hold a straight line but still bends easily around curves.

After wrestling with a cheap plastic ruler that wouldn't stay put on the drill press table, this steel one actually stays flexible enough to wrap around a small pipe while I mark it. The 64th markings on the inner edge are surprisingly clear for such fine increments.

I needed a rule that could reach into tight spots, and the 4R graduations on both edges make reading 8ths on one side and 64ths on the other incredibly handy for layout work. The steel feels just sturdy enough to hold its shape when flexed, yet it bends easily around a small radius without kinking.
