Shaft, B & C Gears

I was worried the replacement shaft wouldn't line up perfectly with my existing gears, but the precision machining on this one made it a drop-in fit. The keyway slots were exactly where they needed to be, so my lathe is back to cutting threads smoothly.

The threads are cut clean and it fits onto the B and C gears without any wobble, so the whole train runs smooth again. Took me about ten minutes to swap, and now my machine is back to factory spec.

Had to swap out my old one after the teeth wore down, and this replacement seats perfectly with no wobble. The splined end fits the B gear as cleanly as the original, so my feed rates are back to normal. Exactly what the old machine needed.
