Stud, QCTP, Sherline (component)

The threads on this replacement stud match the 0XA post perfectly, and it tightened down without any wobble on my lathe. Fit the 4039 set exactly as intended, so no fiddling around to get the tool holder seated right. Solid piece of hardware for the money.

Had to swap out the original stud on my Taig lathe and this replacement is machined precisely enough that the tool post locks down without any play. The threads engaged smoothly right from the start, which saved me from having to chase them with a die.

Threaded right onto my Sherline’s 0XA post without any binding, and the fit is snug enough that there’s zero wobble during cuts. Exactly the replacement I needed, feels just as solid as the original part.
