Telescoping Lead Screw Cover, 7x14, 7x16

The telescoping design makes it easy to adjust for different lathe setups, and the metal construction feels really sturdy. Installation took a bit of care to get the brackets aligned, but once mounted, the cover slides smoothly and keeps the lead screw protected.

Drilling and tapping the mounting holes was straightforward with the included installation tools, and now the cover keeps chips off the lead screw perfectly. The telescoping design feels sturdy and slides without binding.

The telescoping sections slide smoothly enough that I don't worry about chips jamming things up. I had to measure twice before drilling, but the bracket alignment jig made it straightforward. Definitely keeps the lead screw cleaner than the flimsy rubber boot I was using before.
