The inner corner clearance on the beam makes it easy to check inside edges without any interference. Feels incredibly solid and precise in the hand.

The ground and lapped stainless steel surfaces are so precisely flat that I can feel the difference immediately compared to my old square. It slides smoothly into tight corners without any wobble, and the machined clearance at the inner corner is a thoughtful touch for layout work.

The hardened stainless steel on both the blade and beam gives this square a precise feel that cheaper tools lack. I checked it against my reference and it’s dead square, which made layout work much faster.
