The swivel action on this press plate is surprisingly smooth right out of the box, and the mounting holes lined up perfectly with my compound rest. Took maybe ten minutes to swap out the old one, and now the angle adjustments feel much more solid.

Finally got this mounted on my lathe and the swivel action is buttery smooth. The press plate fits perfectly without any filing or modification needed. Makes adjusting the compound rest so much easier during a cut.
