My little 1.5hp mill handles this cutter without bogging down at all—the modern insert geometry really does make a difference on lower-power spindles. The included tool bar and extra inserts make it a solid kit for the price.

The insert geometry on this cutter makes a noticeable difference on my 2hp spindle—cuts are much cleaner than with my old tool. Assembly was straightforward, and the included tool bar is a nice bonus.

Swapped out my old fly cutter for this kit on my 3hp mill and the difference in surface finish is night and day, even at lighter spindle loads. The two included inserts cut clean and the body feels solid enough for repeated use. Set-up took about five minutes, and I'm glad I finally upgraded.
