Fabricado a partir de un acero al carbono cromado de alta calidad que ofrece una resistencia al desgaste superior y graduaciones nítidas y duraderas. Totalmente endurecido, templado y grabado con precisión.

Se utiliza para rectificar y fijar herramientas al cortar roscas Acme cuyas caras tienen una inclinación de 14‑1/2° (ángulo incluido de 29°).
