Finally got around to installing the clock spring cover on my mill, and the alignment holes were perfectly spaced—no fumbling with a drill bit. It’s a small part, but it snugly protects the spring mechanism from debris during operation. Really appreciated the precise fit right out of the package.

The fit on my SX2.7 bench mill is perfect, and the metal feels solid enough to last through heavy use. I had been worried about the original cover's durability, but this replacement locks in tight and stops any debris from getting into the clock spring.
