The 1.5" machinable end on this arbor gave me plenty of material to turn down for a custom adapter. Threading for the 3/8-16 drawbar matched perfectly with my setup.

Finally got around to machining the soft end down to a custom stub for a job, and the 1.5" of material gave me plenty of room to work with. Threads for the 3/8-16 drawbar were clean and the taper seated snug without any wobble.

The 2 Morse taper seated perfectly in my tailstock, and the 3/8-16 NC threads on the drawbar matched up without any issue. Machining the 1.5" soft end to a custom point took only a few minutes.
