After a bit of careful setup, the pre-sharpened 5/16" tool bit cut through my brass stock cleanly on the very first pass. Getting the mounting block right took some patience, but now I can turn consistent 1.5-inch convex curves without any chatter.

I spent an afternoon setting up the mounting block, but once it was dialed in, this attachment made cutting perfect 2" convex curves feel almost effortless. The pre-ground tool bit held its edge nicely through the first few projects.

Finally got this mounted on my mini lathe and turned a couple 1.5" balls — the pre-sharpened 5/16" bit cut cleanly right out of the box. Cuts convex curves up to 2" diameter as described, though you definitely need to make your own mounting block first.
