Blank Tool Holder, Tormach TTS

This blank was super easy to machine on my CNC, and the pre-drilled hole saved me time setting it up. I made a custom locating pin holder that fits perfectly in the TTS system. Exactly what I needed for a quick one-off project.

I machined this into a custom fly cutter in about an hour, and the blank held tolerances perfectly with zero chatter. The material cuts cleanly and predictably, saving me from having to source my own stock.

I’ve been wanting a way to dial in a custom fly-cutter, and this machinable blank is stiff enough to hold a steady edge. The unthreaded body gave me clean starting geometry without fighting pre-existing threads. Exactly what I needed for a weekend project.
