I was skeptical about how well a plastic guard would stay put, but the fit on the spindle is snug and hasn't budged during a heavy facing cut. Definitely saves my glasses from getting pelted with hot chips.

It snapped right onto the spindle without any modifications needed, and I can already feel it keeping the flying chips away from my face. The magnetic hold is strong enough that I don't worry about it shifting during a cut, which makes this a lot more practical than I expected.

I was skeptical about how well it would shield from flying debris, but the spindle mount keeps it perfectly aligned. It's cut down on chips hitting my safety glasses noticeably.
