The chapters on the boring head and dividing head finally make sense to me—the step-by-step photos walk you through setups I’d been too nervous to try on my own. It’s dense but practical, and I’ve already referenced the clamps section twice while prepping my next job.

The project-based approach is what sold me — working through real setups like the dividing head and boring head made everything click, not just vague theory. Even the section on parallels and clamps felt practical from the first flip-through.

The project-based approach makes it much easier to follow than a dry reference manual, especially the section on setting up the boring head. I do wish the photos were a bit larger, but the explanations are solid enough that I haven't gotten stuck yet.
