I was worried about alignment when installing the DRO, but this retainer fit the cross slide screw perfectly with no slop. The precision-machined slot holds the screw steady without any play.

Fits the cross slide screw perfectly and locks in place without any wobble, so the DRO reads stay steady even during heavier cuts. Not much to say about a simple retainer, but it does exactly what it's supposed to do.

The threads on this retainer machined cleanly against my cross slide screw, no binding or slop once torqued down. It's a solid little piece that fits the DRO kit's mounting holes exactly, saved me from rigging up a shim.
