The fit on my SX3.5 was dead on, no shimming needed, and runout measured under half a thou right out of the box. Cuts noticeably smoother than the spindle it replaced.

Dropped this R8 spindle into my HiTorque bench mill and the fit was dead on, no shimming or fiddling needed. Runout measured well under a thou right out of the box.

Swapped this into my SX3.5 after the original spindle developed runout, and the R8 taper holds tooling dead tight now. Runout measured under half a thou at the nose, which is better than what came out.
