Caliper, 6" Hermaphrodite, PEC

The bent leg made it much easier to reach into tight corners than my old caliper. I used it to mark a consistent line along a piece of oak and it tracked perfectly without slipping.

The scribing point is sharp enough that it doesn’t skip on steel, and the bent leg lets me hug the edge perfectly for parallel lines. I’ve used it for laying out a few brackets and it’s been dead accurate every time.

Finally got around to using it for scribing parallel lines on some aluminum stock, and the bent leg just locks onto the edge without any wobble. The scribing point is sharp enough that it leaves a clean, consistent mark on the first pass. Exactly what I needed for quick layout work.
