The clamping mechanism is solid and holds tight even under heavy cuts, which saves me a lot of time setting up repeatable stops. I wish the adjustment knob had a bit more knurling for grip, but overall it's a great addition to my lathe workflow.

For the price, I was pleasantly surprised at how precisely this stop locks down on the ways. Being able to set a repeatable stop position for the carriage makes turning multiple identical parts much more consistent.

Finally, a carriage stop that actually stays put once you clamp it to the lathe ways. The repeatable position is spot-on for making multiple identical cuts without having to re-measure each time. It’s saved me a ton of setup frustration during batch work.
