Finally got my tailstock dialed in and this clamp locks it down solid, no slipping even under heavier cuts. Had to grind the post down a bit for the steady rest, but it works perfect now.

Fits snugly on the tailstock and holds rock solid even when I’m applying heavy cutting pressure. I also tried it on a steady rest, and after trimming the post a bit, it worked perfectly.

Bought this to keep my tailstock from drifting during a long run of spindle work, and the grip is rock solid once you tighten it down. The post on my steady rest needed a couple minutes with a grinder to fit, but that’s the only tweak I had to make.
