30206JR Tapered Roller Bearing
The bearing is 30 mm ID, 62 mm OD, and 17.25 mm wide.
This is a tapered roller bearing that can be used to replace the spindle bearings on the mini lathe. It requires two of these bearings to update a mini lathe spindle.
While on a larger machine tapered roller bearings are recommended, on a mini lathe the RPMs achieved, and lateral forces typically applied may not require this upgrade. Additionally, because tapered roller bearings are not sealed, they may require more regular maintenance and can be more difficult to install and "true" in the spindle housing. HiTorque Mini Lathes use Japanese deep groove sealed ball bearings from NSK. We feel this is the best combination for quality long lasting bearings.
