Drills, Reduced Shank (S&D), HSS, Individual Sizes - Main image
$4.38 $6.95 In stock

Reduced shank drills, also called Silver & Deming drills, have a reduced straight shank that is smaller than the diameter of the cutting bit. The smaller shank allows for the use of a 1/2" drill chuck while cutting larger holes.

These drills are 6" in length and have a 1/2" shank and are made of high-speed steel (HSS).
The cutting tip is 118 degrees, and the drill has a black oxide coating.

Chloe ★★★★★

Finally, someone sells these individually. The reduced shank is cut perfectly so it seats snug in my 1/2" chuck without any wobble.

Natalie V. ★★★★★

Took forever to find individual sizes instead of a whole set, so grabbing just the 3/4" one was exactly what I needed. The reduced shank fit my 1/2" chuck without any wobble, and it cut through mild steel clean on the first pass.

Charlotte ★★★★★

Finally got through a 1/2" chuck job that used to stall my old setup, and these cut clean without any wobble. The reduced shank fits snug and the HSS edges stayed sharp through a full run of holes in mild steel.
