6 Piece, 4 flute, high speed steel end mill set (3/8" shank) - NON-center cutting

Sizes: 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", and 1/2".

NON-center cutting end mills can't cut axially. Their cutting edges don't reach the center of the tool, so they can't plunge straight down into the material. Instead, they're mainly used for side cutting. Non - center - cutting end mills are ideal for operations where you're only cutting along the sides of the workpiece. Because of this "design" they can often provide a better surface finish on the sides of the cut.
