MRMN-200-M grooving insert with grade BPS253-CVD coating is suitable for steel and cast steel continuous cutting, and interrupted cutting for finishing to roughing.

The CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) coating layer protects the carbide core from intense friction and heat generated in cutting operations.

 The full radius geometry is suitable for applications that require profiling.

The BPS253-CVD coating on these is holding up way better than the uncoated inserts I was running before — no chipping even on interrupted cuts in cast steel. Finishing passes leave a clean surface, and I've been pushing them into light roughing without any trouble.
