Finally found a cutter that doesn't chatter on my mild steel—the HSS holds an edge well enough to finish four dozen parts before needing a touch-up. Paired with a simple jig, that 3/8" shank runs true in my collet.

Cuts a clean, consistent 45° bevel on my aluminum stock without any chatter. The high-speed steel holds its edge well—I've run it through about fifty feet of material and it's still sharp.

The 3/8" shank fit my drill press chuck without any adapter fuss, and the 45-degree edge on this HSS cutter leaves a clean finish on aluminum bar stock. I’ve used it for a dozen corners now and it hasn’t dulled a bit—exactly the reliable bite I needed.
