Double Square, 6" 4R, Starrett

Picked this up for some woodworking layout tasks and the sliding blade already saved me from having to switch between multiple squares. The head feels precision-ground to the body—everything sits flat and true.

The sliding blades really do make a difference—I’ve used it for marking out both wood and metal without needing a second tool. The head feels solidly square, and the 6-inch length fits easily in my apron pocket for quick checks on the job.

I love how the head’s ground-square faces let me check my setups without any wobble. The adjustable sliding blades are a nice touch for framing cabinets and odd angles.
