The threads engaged cleanly on my Morse taper spindle, and the length is just right for reaching through the quill without any binding. Swapping collets out feels noticeably smoother than with my old rod.

The threads lined up perfectly with my 3MT collet chuck the first try, no wobble or forcing needed. It's solid steel and the 3/8"-16 end threads grab tight every time I swap tools on my mini mill.

Finally got this installed on my mini mill, and the 3/8"-16 threading matches perfectly with my collets and end mill holders. It’s noticeably sturdier than the old one I was using, and having the 3MT taper makes swapping tools much smoother. No issues with fitment on the G8689 at all.
