I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly this M42 cobalt end mill cut through some tough steel — the center cut design made plunging much easier than with my old bits. The finish on the workpiece came out clean with hardly any burrs.

These cut beautifully and the 2-flute design really clears chips fast, saving me a ton of time on each pass. The M42 cobalt edge held up through some tough steel without any sign of dulling, and the center cut made plunging a breeze.

The M42 cobalt really holds an edge longer than standard HSS bits I've used before. Cuts through steel cleanly without excessive chatter, and the 2-flute design clears chips efficiently. Only wish it came in a few more fractional sizes for my tool drawer.
