My mill's Z-axis was drifting and this screw fixed it completely, the fit is exact for the SX2.7 so no shimming or filing was needed. I've run a few dozen passes now and the vertical movement is dead consistent, feels like the original from day one.

The threads on this replacement are machined cleanly, and it seated right into the Z-axis without any binding. Vertical movement is smooth again, and the drop-in fit saved me from having to do any extra shimming. Exactly what I needed to get the mill back to precise work.

After my old screw developed backlash, this replacement tightened up the Z-axis on my bench mill and the head moves smooth again with almost no play. The threads matched up right out of the box and install was maybe twenty minutes. Vertical cuts finally hold their depth.
