This follower rest glides along smoothly with the saddle and holds slender shafts right up to an inch, which is exactly what I needed for some delicate brass work. It keeps the tool from pushing the stock off-center, and setup took maybe ten minutes.

Finally got around to mounting this on my saddle and it’s been a game changer for long, skinny pieces. The fact that it rides along with the carriage means I don’t have to keep stopping to adjust support, and it handles my half-inch stock without a wobble.

Mounting it on the saddle was straightforward, and it glides right along with the carriage, so supporting that 1-inch stock feels effortless even on longer passes. The cast iron base is solid enough that I don't get any chatter, which surprised me for the price.
