The 1/2" cutting diameter paired with the 5/8" shank gave me a solid fit in my collet, no chatter at all during a deep slotting pass. It handled both face and peripheral milling on some mild steel without breaking a sweat.

Finally got a chance to test this on some mild steel—cut a clean 90° shoulder in two passes, zero chatter. The 1/2" cutting diameter was just right for slotting without bogging down my mill.

That true 90° shoulder made slotting way easier than my old rounded cutter—the walls came out square with no cleanup pass. The 1/2" diameter handled a decent depth per pass in mild steel, and the 5/8" shank held up in my collet without any chatter.
