I was pleasantly surprised by how clear the bar stock list is, it made gathering materials straightforward even for a beginner. The engine fired up on my third attempt and runs steadily at a surprisingly low air pressure.

The instructions for the steam engine are laid out so simply that I had my basic frame cut and drilled in one afternoon. Bill Reichart really achieved his “first, easy to build” goal with the bar stock list. I’m already sketching a mount for it.
