I was glad to find this retainer as a replacement for my DRO setup—the threads lined up cleanly and it holds the compound rest screw securely without any wobble.

The threads on this retainer screw are cut clean and the fit into the compound rest is snug, so there’s zero wobble once it’s torqued down. I swapped it in during a DRO install and it’s held the readout solid through a few hours of cutting. Exactly the right replacement part for the job.

It fit perfectly into my mini lathe DRO kit, though the included hex key is a bit flimsy. Works fine for snugging the screw down, just wish it came with a better tool.
