The 33mm bolt length fits perfectly into my steady rest, and the M10 threads engaged smoothly. This retainer feels solid and should hold the fingers securely during operation. Exactly what I needed for my 8x12 lathe.

The M5 hole lines up perfectly with the finger assembly, so it went on without any fiddling. Measured the 33 mm length against my calipers and it’s dead-on for the stead rest.

The M5 hole lined up clean with my follower rest’s set screw, and the 33mm length gave just enough grip without bottoming out. Threads cut smooth with no binding, even after a few tighten-and-release cycles. Does exactly what it’s supposed to.
