The fit on the shaft is snug enough that I didn’t need any extra fiddling, and the steel ring sits flush against the bearing like it was machined for it. It’s done a solid job keeping dust off the roller so far.

The hardened steel edge seated perfectly against my spindle bearing, and the tight fit on the shaft kept everything locked in place during a two-hour heavy cut.

The steel is noticeably thicker than the generic rings I've used before, so it doesn't flex or slip once seated against the bearing. Installation was straightforward, and it keeps the spindle clean from debris during operation.
