Had to double-check the M5x8M3 wrench size before installing, but once that was sorted the screw threaded in cleanly and held the insert tight. Exactly what my 1889 end mill needed.

The M5x8M3 sizing is exactly right for my 1889 End Mill—threads caught cleanly with no wobble. Only wish the wrench felt a bit more robust, but it did the job without stripping.

The hex wrench fits snugly, and the threads are clean enough for a solid hold. I just wish the set included a spare screw since these are easy to lose on the shop floor. Works perfectly for my 2MT end mill though.
