Installed this spring on the micro mill fine feed and the tension is just right again. The adjustable dial has zero slop now and the machining feels much more precise. Took maybe two minutes to swap out.

The dial feels buttery smooth now when I turn it, and the spring seated perfectly into the X1 housing without any filing or fuss. Took me about ten minutes to swap out, and the fine feed action is noticeably more precise on my bench mill.

Finally got my micro mill’s fine feed dial working smoothly again with this replacement spring. The spring tension feels identical to the original, which was exactly what I needed—no more slipping or binding. For a tiny part, it made a huge difference in how precisely I can dial in cuts now.
