Steady Rest, 8.5x20 Bench Lathe

I was pleasantly surprised how solidly this steady rest grips the workpiece—no vibration even at higher speeds. The clamping foot was easy to bolt on, and the included washer and nut saved me a trip to the hardware store.

The 2.2-inch capacity is perfect for the stainless steel shafts I turn, and the clamping foot holds it all rock-solid. Fits my lathe perfectly without any filing or shimming.

Set it up in about ten minutes and it holds my 2-inch stock rock solid, even at higher spindle speeds. The 2.2" max capacity covers everything I throw at it, and the included clamping foot and nut made mounting it to the T-slots a no-brainer.
