此 T 形手柄攻牙扳手的本體居中設計，使工人可在車床中心或立式鑽床上直接開始攻牙。夾爪貼合所夾持的工具，使其剛性提升且較不易鬆脫。經適當熱處理，可承受一般車間使用。

此扳手配備滑動式手柄，靠摩擦固定。此設計允許手柄完全拆除，或在狹小空間作業時調整位置以提供杠桿力。

這些工具設計用於夾持方形柄。圓形柄亦可夾持，但需小心操作。過度緊固可能導致卡緊螺母斷裂。
