The included plans are clear enough that even a total beginner like me could follow along, and the material stock was cut to the right sizes right out of the package. Everything I needed to make the tenderizer was there, so I didn't have to run to the hardware store mid-project.

The steel in this kit is already cut to the right lengths, so I didn't need a bandsaw just to get started. Having both the plans and all the bar stock in one box made my first lathe project a lot less intimidating, and the finished hammer actually works well for flattening chicken.

The plans are clearly laid out for a beginner like me, and having all the metal stock pre-cut saved me a ton of prep time. I finished my first tenderizing hammer in one afternoon.
