Cut threads cleanly on my last three projects right out of the box, and the HSS inserts held up way better than I expected for the price.

Was a bit nervous about my first indexable threading tool, but this kit made setup straightforward and the 3/8" size cut clean threads on schedule 40 pipe. The HSS inserts held up way longer than I expected before needing indexing.

The HSS triangle inserts cut clean threads on steel without chattering, and the indexable design saves me from constant resharpening. A solid, well-made tool for the lathe.
