The machined clearance on the inner corner makes these squares sit flush against the workpiece, which I really appreciate for precise layout. They feel solid and perfectly flat right out of the box.

The stainless steel blade and beam feel incredibly solid, and the ground and lapped finish is perfectly smooth to the touch. It squared up my miter gauge slot with dead-on accuracy right out of the box.
